Wimborne Food Bank secures donation from Bloor Homes Southern

It can be a difficult time for those in need, so national housebuilder, Bloor Homes has been delighted to offer Wimborne Food Bank a generous donation over the festive season

Bloor Homes, who is building its Wimborne Chase development off Cranborne Road, has provided a donation of £1,000 to help the food bank to offer an essential service to those in need.

Sharon Keenan, Wimborne Food Bank Manager, said: “We’d like to thank Bloor Homes for their generous donation, which will enable us to provide a huge amount for those that need it most.

“Bloor Homes’ donation will allow us to provide even more families with that little bit extra this year which they may not otherwise have been able to afford.”

Lucy Ludlow, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes Southern, said: “The volunteers at Wimborne Food Bank do an amazing job to keep this important organisation running and to help those in need of assistance.

“For various reasons, people can suddenly be left without enough money to feed themselves or their families, and thankfully when that happens in Wimborne they have somewhere to turn.

“We’re proud to offer our support to the Food Bank and to be able to help others around the festive period, to those making use of its services.”

The Wimborne Food Bank exists to help local people who are experiencing a short-term crisis in affording food. The food bank is located at Leigh Park Community Centre on Gordon Road. It was set up by Wimborne Churches in partnership with Faithworks Wessex.

Wimborne Chase is located on the northern outskirts of the thriving market town of Wimborne. The development offers something for singles, couples and families of all sizes.  There is also a great choice of amenities close to home, plus excellent schools and transport links across Dorset and beyond. All of this and more makes Wimborne Chase a wonderful place to call home.
