A reminder of Morocco leads to love at first sight
According to Bloor Homes research, instinct and emotion are the key factors when deciding to buy a new home. The Bloor Homes survey of 2000 people found that nearly half of the respondents only need to see a property once before deciding to buy it and over a third knew it was their ‘forever’ home.
This was certainly the case for Caroline May and her husband Ian when they saw their dream house at The Fairways development in Binfield.
Caroline explained, “My love affair with Bloor Homes began late last year when I clapped eyes on the beautiful windows gracing each home on The Fairways. They made every other new homes development look boring. I loved the attractive quirky style of the homes which reminded me of Dutch gable ended houses, or the Moroccan riads.”
Buying a house is a major decision and isn’t always plain sailing, but after initial worries that their own house wouldn’t sell, receiving a flurry of offers meant that Caroline and Ian were able to visit the development and take a look at the plots available, and as soon as they saw the Medina house type on the development, Caroline knew it was perfect.
“One step inside the bare bones of this house with no roof and no interior walls and we were sold. This was going to be The One.”
Due to COVID and Christmas, Caroline and her husband couldn’t move in immediately, but the Bloor team kept them up to date during the build completion of the house.
Caroline continues, “It was helped by the professionalism of the sales staff and their understanding of our position. We loved getting our regular Monday emails and pictures, showing us how the construction was coming along and explaining the stages. This made the process so personal.”
Caroline and Ian moved in a few months ago and are now completely settled in their wonderful new home and couldn’t be happier.
“The quality of workmanship is of a high standard, and we love being part of the Fairways community. Our house is light and bright, with beautiful dual aspect windows in every room, high ceilings and a very smart kitchen. We are lucky to have a walled back garden, we are not overlooked, and we have a view of the pond from our kitchen window. We awake to the sound of the birds, and we look forward to exploring the many footpaths and getting the back garden landscaped. We love living here. It is a beautiful development, and the builders, sales team and management have ensured it is a development to be proud of.”
