Thatcham pupil sees winning bedroom design brought to life

Winning bedroom is unveiled at Thatcham Place

Ruby Dunn, a pupil at Whitelands Park Primary School in Thatcham has visited Bloor Homes’ new housing development, Thatcham Place, for the official unveiling of the winning bedroom she designed.

11-year old Ruby was one of a number of pupils at Whitelands Park Primary School who took part in the design a bedroom challenge that was set by Bloor Homes. Ruby came up with a striking street-style design for her room, featuring images of bikes, skateboards and scooters.

Carol Reading, Marketing Manager at Bloor Homes Southern, said: “We were thrilled to meet Ruby and her mum at one of the new showhomes at Thatcham Place and show how her fantastic design has been brought to life by our interior design partners, ArtSpace.

“Ruby’s bedroom design impressed us with its urban street-style which is sure to appeal to tweens and teenagers alike with its fresh and modern colours, striking graffiti-style wall art and bed with skateboard-adorned footboard.

“We were extremely impressed by the quality and variety of entries submitted by all the pupils at Whitelands Park Primary School and selecting our winner was certainly a tough task. We hope Ruby enjoyed exploring the bedroom she designed as much as we did in welcomig her to the site.”

Ruby’s winning design can be seen in the new four-bedroom showhome, the Peele house-type, which launched at the development last weekend.
