Bloor Homes unveils new Thatcham development
A new housing development in Thatcham has officially opened its doors to the public.
Bloor Homes has welcomed the first visitors to its Thatcham Place development off Tull Way, where the sales office and showhome are now open.
Located on the western edge of the town, Thatcham Place will eventually comprise 75 new homes, large areas of green open space and pedestrian and cycle links.
A total of 45 homes will be sold on the open market, with the remaining 30 being made available through affordable rent or shared ownership.
Almost a quarter of the private homes at the development will be bungalows, and the showhome at Thatcham Place is the single-storey three-bedroom Blake house type.
Luke Southgate, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes Southern, said: “We’re delighted to have officially launched our much-anticipated Thatcham Place development and look forward to welcoming house hunters to our sales office and showhome.
“Thatcham Place benefits from a superb location on the outskirts of Thatcham with excellent transport links to Newbury and Reading, as well as an attractive setting which will be enhanced by the large areas of green open space being created as part of the development.
“It is quite rare for a new homes development to have such a large proportion of bungalows and we are looking forward to giving buyers the opportunity to see for themselves the benefits of single-storey living in our Blake showhome. I would encourage anyone interested in purchasing a new build bungalow or one of the range of two-storey properties available at Thatcham Place to visit us to find out more.”
The Blake is a spacious detached bungalow which boasts an open plan kitchen/dining area with French doors leading out to the rear garden, a lounge with feature bay window, three double bedrooms, a family bathroom and an enclosed rear garden and garage.
