The Millennium Green Junior Park Run
Off the starting blocks for young runners in Kingston Bagpuize with a helping hand from Bloor Homes
As lockdown restrictions start to ease, and outdoor sporting activities once again become possible, Bloor Homes Southern are delighted to sponsor a new local community initiative - the Millennium Green Junior Park Run.
The event, which is located at Millennium Green, Kingston Bagpuize, has been sponsored by Bloor Homes Southern, who are currently building the Kingston Park development, off Witney Road.
Kathryn Hall, event organiser for the Junior Park Run said: “We are so grateful to Bloor Homes who helped us raise enough funds to get the Millennium Green Junior Park Run up and running.
“It is a beautiful space that we are so lucky to have in the villages of Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor and the Park Run will provide a real focal point each week for families to come together, have some fun and get fit too.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support of people in just the first couple of weeks. Thank you for helping us to make it a success.”
Millennium Green Junior Park Run is a fun, free junior event organised by volunteers of the Kingston Bagpuize Community. The event is currently open to children aged 4-10 years old.
The course is 2000m (2km) long and includes a mixture of trail paths and grass and takes place every Sunday morning.
