Bloor Homes provides £2,000 cash boost to modernise local school
Bloor Homes has donated £2,000 to help a school in Malmesbury to upgrade its sixth form facilities.
The housebuilder has contributed towards The Malmesbury School’s project which will see buildings undergo a complete modernisation which will help this Ofsted outstanding school to continue its success.
The donation will contribute towards the £10,000 The Malmesbury School is hoping to raise to complete the project. The Malmesbury School is popular with the residents of Bloor Homes’ nearby Filands View development.
The national housebuilder’s donation forms part of the needed £10,000 funding initiative the Malmesbury School is undertaking to complete its refurbishment project. This repeats what we have above.
Danya Clark, Chair of the Malmesbury School PTA, said: “The Malmesbury School is an important asset for the town and a significant pull for many people, including myself as I moved to Malmesbury because of it.
“In order to maintain its high academic standards, the school is working on a modernisation plan for the sixth form facilities. However, ongoing funding pressure means there is a significant shortfall in the money needed for the project. The school PTA has already raised £5,000 of the required sum and is working hard to raise more.
“Bloor Homes’ generous donation has moved us significantly close to our target and we are delighted.”
Rowena Adams, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes South West, said: “We are so pleased that our donation to the school is going to be used in such a worthy way. We are always keen to help the local communities in which we build.”
