Bloor Homes raises over £4,000 and wins Best dressed Crew in Totnes Longbow Canoe Race

An adventurous team of 10 Bloor Homes representatives took part in the Totnes Longbow Canoe Festival 2018 for charity this weekend, finishing in a well-deserved third place.

The crew, who won the prize for ‘Best Dressed’ and ‘participants who raised the most money’ competed in the three-heat race along a 350m stretch of the River Dart on Sunday 10th June.
After a huge fundraising effort the Bloor Homes team raised over £4000 which will be split between charities supported by Totnes Rotary and the national housebuilder’s chosen charity,  CRASH.
Sue Hunt, Regional Sales Manager at Bloor Homes South West, said: “Totnes Longbow Canoe Festival was a great challenge and experience for all of us. We worked hard to prepare for the race itself and are delighted with the raised charity funds.
“It was fantastic to see so many colleagues from across the company, surveyors, graphic designers, sales advisors, sales managers and line support engineers, to come together for what was an excellent community event.
“We chose to donate half of the funds to the construction industry’s charity CRASH, which assists homelessness and hospice charities with construction related projects.”
Kate Marsh, Senior Partnerships Manager at CRASH, said: “It is only thanks to the creativity and commitment of the construction and property industry that we can continue to offer vital support to homelessness and hospice charities. We are so grateful to Bloor Homes and everyone who is involved in the Longbow Canoe Race for their support.”
