Standish pupil’s fairy design brought to life at Bloor Homes showhome
A creative schoolgirl has designed a bedroom for the showhome at the Bloor homes development in Standish.
Alice Waterworth, 8, created a magical fairy tale-themed room for the Standish Grange development, where she will soon be living.
The budding artist, whose parents have reserved a home at the development, submitted her spellbinding design to the housebuilder, and was thrilled when they agreed to recreate it inside the new showhome.
Alice’s design has been brought to life by interior designers Interior Motives, who incorporated Alice’s ideas into the room’s furnishings and décor.
Alice, who will be moving into a four-bedroom detached home with her parents Catherine and Lewis and her 5-year-old sister Beatrice, said: “I love drawing and thought it would be really good to design a bedroom for the showhome.
“I was inspired by fairy-tales when designing the room and I was amazed when we visited the showhome and saw the bedroom. Lots of my ideas were included such as the beautiful crystal chandelier and decorative swing.”
Alice’s mum Catherine said: “It was great to see Alice’s design brought to life at the showhome, it looks amazing and we are very proud. The interior designers have done a wonderful job.
“We have been waiting for Bloor Homes to build at Standish for several years. We first saw their development in Eccleston four years ago and were so impressed that we sold our house straight away and have been renting ever since – waiting for the new homes at Standish.
“When the sales office launched, we picked our plot on the first day and we are extremely excited to be moving there. The development has such a positive community spirit and seeing Alice’s design in the showhome makes our move there even more special.”
