Site manager Paul thrilled to receive national recognition
A Bloor Homes site manager in Lowton has spoken of his pride after being nominated for a top industry accolade.
Paul Cummins, who manages the Lowton Heath development, off Heath Lane, was invited to attend the national final of the 2018 LABC Warranty Site Manager Awards in London.
He was one of just 12 site managers from across the country to be shortlisted for the coveted National Site Manager Award, after scooping the regional prize for the North West earlier this year.
The annual LABC Warranty Site Manager Awards recognise an individual’s leadership skills, technical compliance and organisation. Each regional winner is announced in the summer and automatically qualifies for the national final.
Unfortunately, Paul didn’t scoop top prize on the night but he is still beaming with pride to be named among the country’s elite site managers.
Paul said: "To be recognised as one of the top site managers in the country is a fantastic feeling and although I didn’t win the national award, I’m still immensely proud to have been nominated.
"Everyone at Lowton Heath has worked incredibly hard to ensure we provide quality new homes for the area and it’s thanks to the efforts of the whole site team that I made it through to the national final.
"I’m looking forward to next year’s awards when I will be hoping to defend my regional crown and who knows, perhaps go one step further and take the top prize."
Paul has been working at Lowton Heath since construction work began on the site in the summer of 2017.
Once complete, the first phase of homes at the development will comprise 129 new homes of which 32 properties will be provided as affordable housing. The second phase will consist of a further 62 new homes built on the site.
