NEW TECHNICAL DIRECTOR EXCITED BY HOUSEBUILDER’S GROWTH POTENTIAL
A new Design & Technical Director has been appointed at Bloor Homes Southern.
Dan Castle has stepped into the role at the housebuilder’s regional office in Newbury, bringing with him 23 years’ experience in the industry.
The 41-year-old has set his sights on making the Southern region’s technical team one of the best in the company and says he is hugely excited by the privately-owned developer’s growth potential.
Dan, who lives in Newbury with his wife and three children, started his career as a trainee land surveyor with George Wimpey before going into private practice. He subsequently joined Bryant Homes as Planning & Technical Manager and has spent the last 10 years as Technical Director at Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this role with Bloor Homes and I’m looking forward to using my experience with a large volume developer to help grow the business. It’s an extremely exciting challenge and a wonderful opportunity to further my career.
“Bloor Homes has got a fantastic reputation for the quality of their product and that was a major factor in my decision to join the company. In many ways, I see them as a local builder as they offer more of a personal touch than you would find with a national builder.
“My goal is to enrich the technical team in the Southern region and to help Bloor achieve the company’s vision for quality and growth. The region has a great land bank with sites in fantastic locations across the south so the potential here is huge.”
John Lusty, Regional Managing Director of Bloor Homes Southern, said: “Dan has a wealth of experience in the housebuilding industry and we are delighted to welcome him to the team. Our aim is to significantly expand the business in the coming years and Dan’s skills and technical expertise will be crucial in helping us achieve those ambitions.”
