Bloor Homes donation to school becomes a real page turner

A Leicestershire primary school has replenished its library thanks to a generous donation from house builder Bloor Homes.

Bloor Homes donated £250 to Hugglescote Community Primary School near Coalville so it could purchase a selection of new books for pupils to enjoy.

The latest additions to the library shelves will increase the variety of fictional works available to children on the school’s reading scheme.

Bloor Homes, whose headquarters are located in Measham, is currently building at the Oak Tree Gardens development in Donington le Heath, just over half a mile from the school.

Paul Driver, headteacher at Hugglescote Community Primary School, said: “We are extremely grateful to Bloor Homes for their generous donation. It has enabled us to purchase books to enhance our reading scheme and will benefit pupils throughout the whole school. We look forward to working in partnership with Bloor Homes on other projects to develop community links.”

Michele Rose, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes Midlands, said: “We are delighted that our donation has enabled Hugglescote Community Primary School to expand their library catalogue.

“We are always keen to help the local communities in which we build, and we hope the new books will give the children hours of fun as well as aiding their progress in the classroom.”
