Work begins on next phase of landmark Eden Park development
Construction work is now underway on the next phase of the landmark development, Eden Park, in Rugby. The sales centre also recently opened, with a number of homes snapped up on the launch weekend.
Bloor Homes has started building the first properties in phase two of Eden Park, a major scheme which will eventually deliver 1,300 new homes at the northern edge of the town.
The developer is building 116 homes on land off Leicester Road as part of the second phase, which will comprise a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom houses for sale. Twenty of the homes will be provided as affordable housing.
Bloor will also be providing funding of more than £1.5 million for local services, including contributions towards education, highways, ecology and community facilities.
Paul Degg, Regional Managing Director of Bloor Homes Midlands, said: “Eden Park is a flagship development which is providing much-needed new housing for Rugby, one of the fastest growing towns in the West Midlands.
“We’re proud to be part of such an important scheme for the area, and we are delighted to have commenced work on the second phase of the development.
“As well as delivering a further 116 homes, phase two at Eden Park will provide a significant investment in vital services and infrastructure, and we are looking forward to seeing this next stage of the development taking shape.
“The site benefits from an excellent semi-rural location conveniently situated just over two miles from the town centre, as well as easy access to the motorway network. This has made it extremely attractive to a wide range of buyers, and several homes in phase two have already been reserved just weeks after going on sale from our marketing suite on site.”
Eden Park, previously known as the Rugby Gateway Project, is taking shape on a 300 acre site and will eventually comprise 1,300 new homes, a primary school, nursery, health centre and shops.
