Etwall site manager scoops prestigious award
The site manager at a Bloor Homes development in Etwall is celebrating after picking up a coveted industry award for the second year running.
Danny Easton, 44, has been named as a winner in the first round of the National House Building Council’s 2018 Pride in the Job Awards.
The accolade has been awarded in recognition of his work at the Alms Meadow development off Willington Road, where Danny and his team began construction work in August 2016.
Danny is among a select band of just 450 site managers in the UK to receive a Quality Award for achieving the highest standards in construction. He will now go forward to compete for the Seal of Excellence and Regional Award, the winners of which will be announced in the autumn.
It is the fifth Pride in the Job Award that Danny has won in his 20 years as a site manager, all of them with Bloor Homes.
He said: “It’s a tremendous achievement to win the award two years running, and to do it in a year when we have completed more homes than in previous years makes it even more satisfying.
“Bloor Homes has a proud reputation for building homes of the highest quality, and this is something which is instilled in everyone who works for the company. I’ve got a great team behind me, led by my assistant site managers Marcus Causer and Paul Collier, and we will be doing our best to make it a hat trick of award wins next year.”
