Winning design will become showhome favourite at Kingfisher Place

Bloor Homes will have a special design in one if its showhomes at its Kingfisher Place development in Lea, Preston when they officially launch on 1st November.

Local school girl Evie was in Year 6 at Lea Community Primary School when Bloor Homes partnered with the school to encourage young designers to come up with a dream bedroom. Evie’s ice cream drip design was picked by the judges winning Evie a £50 Amazon voucher.

Classmate Annalisa came second with her sponge Bob Square pants design, which earned her a £20 Amazon voucher as the runner up prize.

Lucy McCabe, Sales Director at Bloor Homes’ North West region, said: “Well done to both girls for their excellent designs. The standard was really high making it very difficult to choose a winner but we were impressed by Evie’s colourful yet calming design. We can’t wait to see it made into a full bedroom in the showhome and look forward to welcoming people to visit the showhomes to see Evie’s bedroom look in real life, as well as the high quality and style of the new, energy efficient homes we are bringing to the area.”

Evie’s design will be featured in the 4 bedroom Langley showhome, one of the two showhomes launching at the new development of just new homes in Lea, Preston in Lancashire.

Lynne Slater, Headteacher at Lea Community Primary School said: “We’re really proud to have partnered with Bloor Homes on this project which gave our students a real life opportunity to have their design turned into a real bedroom. Evie and Annalisa should both be very proud of their designs which made an impression on the judges.”

The new development of three and four bedroom homes has the best of both worlds – it has a semi-rural location overlooking meadows with the Savick Brook running along the far end, yet it is close to local amenities, schools and places to eat and drink.

Lucy adds: “We have released a few homes ahead of the launch and people can find out more by visiting the sales team on site or visiting the web site at bloorhomes.com where they can also register their interest for priority marketing information as more of the new homes are released.”

The new homes start at £214,995 for a three bedroom Kilburn house style and £349,995 for a four bedroom Morris house style. Visit the showhomes and sales team on 2nd November to find out more.
