New Equipment Announced for Ledbury Swifts
Ledbury Swifts Football Club has secured much needed equipment for its players, thanks to support from Bloor Homes.
The support is part of an ongoing and long term partnership between Bloor Homes, Ledbury Town Football Club and Ledbury Swifts Football Club, announced in 2021.
Bloor Homes pledged support for both clubs to help them revamp facilities, carry out repairs and maintenance, as well as funding equipment for Ledbury Swifts Football Club.
The new homes developer is also supporting the clubs with ongoing professional and technical advice regarding their proposed move to new facilities within the town.
Steve Onions, President of Ledbury Swifts FC, where c. 250 boys and girls play week in, week out, said: “The support we have received from Bloor Homes has already really helped both clubs with much needed equipment and also maintenance and revamp work for Ledbury Town FC facilities. Ledbury Swifts FC is a community club managed and run by volunteers, so the financial support we’ve received to acquire the equipment we need for our young teams is much appreciated.”
Steve adds: “Bloor Homes’ forthcoming new development close to the viaduct, will be providing new homes for people in the local community. This will mean many new families with potentially new members for both clubs. It is important we have facilities to continue our success and the development of football in the community. Our clubs have exciting plans to move to a new ground on the edge of town. Bloor Homes’ ongoing professional and technical advice with regard to the relocation plans has been invaluable.”
Steve Roberts, Managing Director at Bloor Homes’ Western region, said “It is a real pleasure to work with these two teams who play such a large part in the local community. They have such clear aspirations and always express great passion for improving the clubs’ facilities and situation, for the immediate benefit of existing players, and as a legacy for future players of all ages.”
Bloor Homes aims to begin construction of its new development of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes by the end of 2023.
