First purchasers launch new showhomes at Thorsten Fields Congleton

The first purchasers at Thorsten Fields were invited as special guests of Bloor Homes to officially launch the developer’s two new showhomes in Congleton.

Closs and Rebecca Birkett bought a Forbes three bedroom home at the new development in March and will be able to move into their new home in June.

Lucy McCabe, Sales Director at Bloor Homes, said: “Since Closs and Rebecca had bought their home even before our show homes had launched, we wanted them to be at the heart of our celebrations alongside The Mayor Rob Moreton and Cllr Mark Frederic Hill who represents Congleton, some of our suppliers, and staff from our regional head office. We were delighted when they accepted our invitation to launch the new showhomes in Congleton as the first members of our new community here.”

Bloor Homes is building a mix of 154 two, three and four bedroom homes at Thorsten Fields, with three and four bedroom homes available for sale on the first phase of the development.

Closs said: “The showhomes launch was exciting and inspiring, and we were honoured to cut the blue tape with the Mayor and meet some of the wonderful people that are helping Congleton flourish. We felt like VIP’s! We got to meet the site manager for Thorsten Fields to talk about the ins and outs of how the build of our house was going, as well as the interior designer of the show homes, who we will be pestering to find out where all that nice furniture was from.

“We chose Congleton because we wanted to stay in a safe part of rural Cheshire which values diversity in its community and fosters a positive environmental impact. We also wanted a new build property that was both energy efficient and modern, a blank canvas to turn into something special. For us first-time buyers, Thorsten Fields and the Forbes townhouse was an affordable choice that perfectly suited our needs. The three bedrooms are split nicely across the two and a half floors, making them larger than you’d find in a typical two storey house style, perfect when we found out how big our master bedroom would be!

“We chose Bloor Homes because our searches found them to be a highly rated builder on Trustpilot, and it shows. They have been amazing with us since day one, especially our fantastic sales advisor, Damon. We are so excited to move in and are counting down the days!“

The newly launched showhomes both have four bedrooms but are very different and showcase the high quality and style of the new homes the developer is bringing to the local area.

The Locke showhome, ideal for a growing family, has a spacious hallway, downstairs cloakroom, large lounge to the front of the home and an open plan kitchen / diner with double doors onto the garden. Upstairs there’s a master bedroom with en suite and a second double bedroom plus two single rooms and a family bathroom.

The Wollaton showhome is the larger of the four-bedroom showhome also has a spacious hallway and cloakroom and two family areas – a formal lounge at the front of the home and an informal seating area in the large, open plan kitchen / diner and family area at spanning the width of the home. Along with the French doors onto the garden, Bloor Homes has added a stunning bay window to the family area which lets in plenty of light. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, including a master with en suite and a single bedroom that would make an ideal office, plus a large family bathroom.

Both style of home have a utility area in the hallway to keep laundry neatly out of the way behind closed doors and many of the four bedroom homes at Thorsten Fields come with a detached garage too. All the new homes at Thorsten Fields will include electric vehicle (EV) charging points as standard, as well as solar PV panels giving greater efficiency to all new purchasers here.

Three-bedroom homes on the first phase at Thorsten Fields start at £289,995, with the four-bedroom homes starting at £389,995. People also wishing to find out more about the two-bedroom homes can register via Bloor Homes’ web site to receive priority information about their release.

Lucy adds: “We’re really proud to be bringing our new homes to such a great location, so close to the town centre, schools, work and shopping area, and with the M6 motorway and Peak District National Park within easy reach too, this is a fantastic place to bring up or family, buy a first home or downsize and retire.”

Bloor Homes’ planning contributions to the local area have helped improve the local road, cycle and walking infrastructure alongside other contributions to healthcare and education, sport facilities and allotments for the local community.
