A Holmes Chapel based housebuilder has won a prestigious award which recognises excellence in apprenticeship schemes.

Bloor Homes North West took the coveted title of Construction Apprenticeship Employer of the Year 2022 in the Construction Apprenticeship Awards, held on Friday 14th October at FutureSkills at MediaCityUK in Salford.

The Construction Apprenticeship Awards recognise excellence and the achievement of apprentices, providers and employers in the UK construction apprenticeships sector.
This marks the second year in a row that Bloor took home the award, having also won at the inaugural awards ceremony in 2021.

James Clark, Managing Director for Bloor North West, said: “Winning this award is testament to the investment we make in future talent, ensuring high quality skills remain in the industry. Thank you to everyone at Bloor North West who played their part in this award win.
“I would like to say a special congratulations and thank you to our two Apprentice Masters Dave Cunningham and Gary Bergin, who play a crucial role in nurturing the talent of our apprentices and supporting them as they become skilled workers.
“And of course, a massive thank you to all our apprentices, who work hard to learn new skills and become trusted and reliable members of the onsite team.
“As a housebuilder, it is so important to support the next generation of skilled construction tradespeople. The industry has incredible opportunities for young people, no matter where your interests or talents lie. Apprenticeship schemes such as ours give people the chance to learn their profession from the very best, in a supportive and structured way.”
