NHBC Pride in the Job Awards

Two of Bloor Homes Eastern's Site Managers win the NHBC Pride in the Job awards.

Celebrating 40 years of awards, NHBC have announced their Pride in the Job winners for 2020. The Pride in the Job awards is one of the most highly regarded competitions in our industry, showcasing best practice and awarding excellence to Site Managers across the country.

It gives me great pride to announce that not just one, but two of our Site Managers at Bloor Homes Eastern have won! A huge congratulations to Lee Burdett at Swavesey, and John Crewdson at Marham Park.

Both Lee and John now have the possibility to go on to the next round of the awards “Seal of Excellence”, success in this would make them eligible for one of the UK’s nine “Regional awards”. The Regional award winners are then invited to the Gala dinner in London, where the runner up and the overall “Supreme” winner for the year will be announced, Good luck to Lee and John!!!

I would like to point out that these are the first NHBC PIJ awards won by a Site Manager in our region for a staggering 11 years. This demonstrates how far we have come as business in recent times. I would to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the support you have provided, to not only Lee and John, but all of our site teams.

Bloor Homes’ Site Managers won a total of 13 awards across the group, a fantastic achievement. The Pride in the Job ‘Quality Award’ is awarded to just 450 Site Managers from a pool of over 11,000, demonstrating the incredible dedication, passion, commitment and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.

It’s also worth mentioning that Jonathon Belcher was also nominated this year, but unfortunately did not win. A nomination alone is not easily achieved, especially whilst trying to set up a new site and still a great achievement. Next Year Jonathon.
