Haughley Bowls Club score sponsorship from Bloor Homes
Haughley Bowls Club has secured sponsorship from national housebuilder, Bloor Homes Eastern.
The developer, who is building its Bloor Homes at Haughley development off Bacton Road, provided the donation to help the club purchase new equipment.
Grant Nunn from Haughley Bowls Club said: “We are hugely grateful that Bloor Homes Eastern has chosen to support Haughley Bowls Club. We are enormously grateful for support at the present time as we have suffered two break-ins during lockdown, where most of our expensive equipment was stolen.
“With the support of Bloor Homes, we can start purchasing this new equipment to really help the club again.”
Carrie Claxton, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes Eastern, said: “We are very proud to be supporting Haughley Bowls Club. As a responsible housebuilder, we are committed to working with the local communities in which we develop.
“When we found out about the team’s need for new equipment, we were keen to help out. Our new development neighbours the Haughley Bowls Club, so it was the perfect partnership. We wish the club the very best.”
The club currently has 53 full playing members, 4 life members and 16 social members. The outdoor playing season runs from mid-April to mid-September.
The bowling green is situated on the village King George V Playing Field next to the Bloor Homes development and the Ron Crascall Pavilion. The club’s origins date back to the 1920's with the location of the current green established in the late 1930’s.
Bloor Homes at Haughley is positioned in this beautiful village, just 3 miles north of Stowmarket and 11 miles east of the market town Bury St Edmunds. The development is perfectly placed on the edge of Haughley, surrounded by beautiful Suffolk farmland. The village is just 1 mile from the A14, connecting you easily east to Bury St Edmunds and west to Ipswich.
Bloor Homes at Haughley’s Sales Office is expected to open in January 2021, with homes currently available to reserve now. A selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes are currently available, with prices ranging from £237,000 to £405,000.
