Bloor Homes Lodges Detailed Buckden Plans

National housebuilder Bloor Homes has lodged a reserved matters application for a 180-home development in Buckden, Cambridgeshire.

The developer was granted outline planning permission for the site off Lucks Lane at the southern edge of the village in July 2017.

A reserved matters application has now been submitted to Huntingdonshire District Council seeking full planning permission for the scheme.

The development is set to include 108 private homes for sale, comprising a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses, and 72 affordable homes.

More than seven acres of public open space will be provided within the development, including a green landscaped corridor along the western edge of the site, a children's play area and new footpath and cycle links to the surrounding villages.

Terry Tedder, regional managing director of Bloor Homes Eastern, said: "Situated within walking distance of Buckden’s range of amenities and with easy access to the A1, the site is in a superb location for residential development and our aim is to bring forward a high quality scheme which complements and enhances the character of the village."

He added that Bloor hoped to start work in July.
