Transport in Portsmouth
Portsmouth has four train stations, with Portsmouth & Southsea train station being the main one, offering direct services to the likes of Brighton, Bristol and London – with London Waterloo reachable in under 2 hours.
It’s easy to drive from Portsmouth to London via the A3, with both the M27 and the M275 also running through the city.
Southampton International Airport is 20 miles from Portsmouth, offering both domestic flights as well as routes to various European destinations.
Portsmouth International Port also offers ferries that go to France, Spain, the Isle of Wight, and the Channel Islands.

You’ll find a wide selection of retail outlets in Portsmouth. There’s Gunwharf Quays - an outlet boasting over 90 retailers, as well as several eateries and bars. The city centre is also home to a diverse array of independent shops as well as the popular Cascades Shopping Centre.
