Lucy buys her second Bloor Home

For Lucy Clifton, a move to a stunning new home at Bloor Homes’ Sandhurst Gardens development in the charming town of Sandhurst proved too good an opportunity to miss.
Having lived in the nearby town of Yateley in a two-bedroom Bloor Home for over four years, Lucy, 27, was familiar with the Sandhurst Gardens development and was very happy with her previous Bloor Home.

Lucy explains: “I was looking to move to a new house after my husband and I separated. The location of Sandhurst Gardens is perfect for me. I only moved about 10 minutes from my previous home! It’s a relatively small and very friendly development. There’s a good mix of different house sizes and house types to cater for everyone, which means there’s a really nice, diverse community developing here.

“Sandhurst Gardens is very close to my family, but also a good location for work. The development is surrounded by woodlands and lakes, which is perfect for walking my two dogs. It’s also within easy access of the M3 and M4. Sandhurst train station is just a five-minute walk away.”

Lucy bought a three-bedroom, semi-detached Studland house type.
Lucy said: “As soon as I walked into the Studland house, I knew it was just perfect for me. The house has a stylish open-plan kitchen and dining room, with plenty of space for a dining table, which is brilliant. Double patio doors lead out to the rear garden. Having the separate utility room is really handy; it’s great to have the appliances out of the way.
“A separate, cosy lounge has a large window which floods the room with light and is the perfect space for relaxing and unwinding with friends. There’s also a downstairs cloakroom, which is useful.
“I love having two double bedrooms, with the master bedroom being big enough for my king-sized bed, which is always a bonus! There’s also a fabulous en suite shower room, as well as a spacious family bathroom. I use the third bedroom as a dressing room, as there is plenty of space. The house is exactly what I need!”

Lucy picked up the keys for her new home in December and moved in time for Christmas.
Lucy said: “I used Help to Buy to fund the purchase of my new house. With Help to Buy, you only need a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage; the remaining 20% of the cost is a Government loan, which is interest free for the first five years. Using Help to Buy meant I was able to keep some money back. I’ve used the scheme before and wouldn’t hesitate to use it again.

“Bloor Homes’ customer service was excellent. I was the first resident to move in and was the only one there for just under two months. The build team have been exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble, especially as I moved in around Christmas.
“I would absolutely recommend everyone and anyone to Bloor Homes. Not only is the location perfect for me, but I just love the house so much. I’m very happy in my new home.”
