Three is the magic number for parents Kelly and Craig

Spring Park provided the perfect prescription for house-hunting nurse Kelly O’Carroll and her young family.

New mum, Kelly O'Carroll and her partner Craig Clarke were on the lookout for a more spacious home to bring up their newly born son Codi, and Craig’s son Harley.

And they found their ideal property at Spring Park, in the shape of the three-bedroom semi-detached Chastleton house type.

As well as finding that the three-storey property was perfect for their needs, the couple also fell in love with the development’s picturesque location on the edge of Gedling Country Park.

Kelly, 31, said: “We were initially attracted to Spring Park by the three-storey house type, and but the lovely location next to the country park was an added bonus.

“We had previously lived in Newton and were originally looking around Bingham, as we wanted to stay local. We decided from the houses we viewed that we wanted a three-storey home, so we widened our search as we were struggling to find a house that met all of our needs. We also decided we wanted a new build as we didn’t want to have to refurbish the property.

“The house is very spacious, particularly the master bedroom. The view is so beautiful and picturesque and Mapperley has good amenities, which is really important for us having a young family. It has the benefits of city life but with a countryside feel.”

Kelly and Craig secured their new home with just a five per cent deposit and 75 per cent mortgage, by using the Government’s Help to Buy scheme. The remaining 20 per cent of the purchase price is provided as an equity loan, which is interest-free for the first five years.

Kelly added: “The sales advisors Nicola and Angie were fantastic throughout the whole process and I would definitely recommend Bloor Homes to my friends and family.”
