Buyers home in on developer of choice in search for their dream property

Buyers are increasingly searching for homes by their preferred housebuilder, ahead of other factors such as location and price.

Our research shows that up to 80 per cent of online searches for Bloor Homes across the country are for the brand in general, rather than for specific developments or locations.

And this figure demonstrates that house hunters are willing to be more flexible in terms of location if that means securing a new build home by their developer of choice.

Gary Crisp, our Regional Chairman, said: “Incentives such as Help to Buy have made a wider range of properties attainable for many purchasers and therefore increased the choice for buyers, who can now be pickier about the home they want to live in.

“Buyers are increasingly knowledgeable about the home they want and the housebuilder they want to buy from, which has led to this drive of brand-focused searches.

“It is vital for housebuilders in this market to stand out from the crowd, and we believe that the quality of our homes and developments speaks for itself.”

Our new campaign focuses on the message ‘Research. Visit. Compare. Call’ and emphasises our confidence that the hours of research and comparisons made by would-be homebuyers will lead them to the doors of one of our developments.

Gary said: “Today’s buyers carry out extensive research into their desired home, giving them a greater knowledge of the developers which are building them. And if buyers like what they see, they are more likely to cast their net wider geographically to buy a home from their preferred housebuilder.

“It’s fantastic news that so many of the online searches across the country are focused on Bloor as a company, and shows us that our emphasis on quality is something which appeals to a large proportion of homebuyers.”
