Steve Lambley, 44, has taken on the role at Bloor Homes' regional office in Tamworth, and will be responsible for the delivery of new Bloor sites across the Midlands region.
He brings with him 16 years of experience in the housebuilding industry, having previously worked as a land director for Charles Church, Orbit Homes and Persimmon.
The married father of two, who lives near Stratford upon Avon, said: “Bloor Homes has an excellent reputation within the industry so I’m absolutely delighted to be joining its team here in the Midlands.
“There are some very exciting projects in the pipeline and I’m really looking forward to the challenge of bringing these to fruition over the next few years.
“I’ve already been impressed by the culture within the company, which is very professional, driven and strongly values staff engagement, and I hope to be here for many years to come.”
Prior to embarking on a career in the housebuilding industry, Steve plied his trade as an electrician and as a bass guitarist in an indie band.
When the band split he studied for a degree in residential development at Nottingham Trent University, which he graduated from with first class honours.
Although his performing days are behind him, Steve still plays the guitar in his spare time and also enjoys fishing, swimming and cycling.
Jason Woolliscroft, Regional Managing Director at Bloor Homes Midlands, said: “Steve has built up an impressive track record of delivering successful projects during his 16 years in the housebuilding industry so we are thrilled to appoint him as our new senior land director.
“He joins us at a very exciting time for the region and the company as a whole, and I am sure his leadership and organisational skills will prove a major asset to us as we seek to grow the business in the coming years.”
