A brand new showhome at Bloor Homes’ The Gateway development located off Siddington Road will be home to the three vibrant works of art.
The prints depict views of the church and marketplace, Blackjack Street and Cirencester Park as seen from the church tower, all in Tracey’s distinctive style.
Tracey said: “After working for ten years as Head of Art at Cirencester Kingshill School, I felt I wanted to take my career down a more practical route and became a fulltime artist. For three years I have worked at my studio in Brewery Court, and have carved out a career for myself on the local art scene.
“I incorporate snippets of local materials into my work, to really link it with the place I’m painting. For instance, I might use scraps of local newspapers or magazines – in Cirencester’s case I regularly use pieces of our local publications to create a sense of place.
“I was delighted when Clare from the Bloor development in town came to buy three of my prints for the showhome. I hope that they help to bring Cirencester to life for visitors and help to create a sense of how beautiful this town really is.”
Clare Doody, who works as the Sales Advisor at The Gateway, said: “I saw Tracey’s artwork and felt that it really encapsulated Cirencester so well. Tracey’s work is really vibrant and brings out the character of the charming marketplace and the lovely views across the town.
“We’re building a new community here at The Gateway, so it’s wonderful to use artwork of the local town from an artist who has lived here for twenty years, to give our new residents a sense of home.”
Tracey creates most of her work at Studio 1 in Brewery Court in Cirencester, GL7 1JH, where she welcomes visitors from Monday to Saturday.
Alternatively, visitors to The Gateway can tour the new showhome and view Tracey’s artwork for themselves.
The development is located off Siddington Road, Cirencester, GL7 1PQ, and is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
