Havant Pupil Named as Winner of the Perfect House Competition
22/04/2015 - General
With an aspiration to build inclusive, engaged communities surrounding its developments, the developer asked local school children to submit an image which illustrated what makes Havant their perfect place.
Hannah Scott, aged nine, submitted the winning picture of the Hayling Billy Trail. This week she was presented with a £50 book token and £200 of art supplies for her school, allowing everyone to join in the excitement.
Kim Willock, sales director for Bloor Homes Southern explains: “The standard of entries was particularly high for this competition, with over 500 submissions in total, but we felt that Hannah’s entry really captured the best of Havant and we’re delighted to name her as our winner.
“We pride ourselves on building communities, not just homes, so we really enjoyed having the opportunity to hear what the children in Havant love the most about where they live. It was a pleasure to launch a competition which not only involved local children but also benefits a school in the local area.”
Theresa James, Headteacher at St Alban’s C of E Primary School added: “We’re absolutely thrilled that our school has been named winner of the Bloor Homes perfect place competition in the South, thanks to the entry by Hannah. Havant is a great place to live and it’s brilliant that this has been recognised through the competition.
“All of the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part and we look forward to working with Bloor Homes again in the future.”
