A family who have realised their dream of owning a new-build home in Waterlooville have said it wouldn’t have been possible without the Help to Buy scheme.

The Lippe family were able to purchase a four-bedroom detached property at Bloor Homes’ Berewood development with just a five per cent deposit and a 20 per cent loan from the government which is equity free for five years.

Natalie Lippe (31) said: “Help to Buy has allowed myself and my husband Martin (32) to purchase not only a brand new home at Berewood but a four-bedroom detached home, which we never believed would be possible with our budget. We definitely got more home for our money with the scheme.

“With our family ever expanding, we needed space for our two daughters Freya (6) and Seren (3). Our new home has given us plenty of space for both of the girls and we have even recently been able to add five-month-old Monty the dog to our family!”

Natalie, a staff nurse at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, and husband Martin, a self-employed business analyst, previously owned a two-bedroom home in Havant for almost 10 years. After tying the knot in May 2011 they knew they needed to move up the property ladder so decided to seek out the Berewood development in Waterlooville and discuss their options with Bloor sales advisors at the marketing suite.

“The Bloor staff we met at Berewood were lovely, they arranged everything for us as soon as we wanted something. They couldn’t do enough for us, helping us to see the showhome at the development and later the house we eventually bought.

“We fell in love with our house as soon as we saw it. People often use the phrase ‘you’ll know when you find the right home for you’ and this was exactly the case for us.

“The entire process of buying our home, finalising the details, and moving in seemed to happen so quickly, which is credit to the Bloor staff who were excellent with us. We finalised the sale on the house in February and had moved in by 30th April 2015.”

There are currently three to five-bedroom homes for sale at the development in Waterlooville, priced between £300,000,000 and £430,000.
