Steeped in History - Before construction of our new development began, Bloor Homes commissioned Oxford Cotswold Archaeology to carry out a detailed excavation at the site. The remains of prehistoric monuments and settlements dating back to the Neolithic period were among the exciting discoveries made during a seven month excavation of the site. Archaeologists have described the dig (a joint venture between two of the largest archaeological companies in the country, Oxford Archaeology and Cotswold Archaeology), as one of the most significant undertaken in Britain this year, and one that far surpassed their expectations. The finds from the excavation are housed with the Oxfordshire County Museum Service, and some objects are displayed in Thame Museum.
