A married couple enjoyed a stress-free move into their new home in Clitheroe by letting their Bloor Homes sell their old property for them.

Christine and David Burgess bought a four-bedroom detached house at Bloor Homes’ Pendle Hill View development in Barrow, and took advantage of the developer’s Home Exchange scheme to ensure their move went without a hitch. It meant the couple, who have relocated to the area from Bolton, avoided the potential pitfalls of being in a chain and were able to secure their new home without having to worry about finding a buyer for their old one.

Christine, 56, said: “Using the Home Exchange scheme with Bloor really took the stress out of moving as it took away the issue of being involved in a housing chain. The sales advisors guided us through every step of our purchase, which made us feel very comfortable with the process.

“I had previously lived in Bolton for 29 years, so moving to Clitheroe was a big change for myself and David, but the sales team at Bloor Homes were marvellous with us.
“We also visited Bloor’s Madison Chase development in Eccleston, where we met a homeowner who was equally delighted with their new home, and it was important for us to hear that testimony from a fellow buyer.”

Under the Home Exchange scheme, Bloor will arrange for three local estate agents to carry out independent valuations of the property, after which the housebuilder aims to make an offer within 48 hours. Bloor also offers the services of Panel Solicitors and financial advisors to customers, to ensure that completion of the purchase is achieved within an agreed timescale. The couple, who still work in Bolton, have also been impressed by both the quality of their home and the convenient location of the development.
Christine added: “Both myself and David regularly travel back to Bolton, so the position of the development nearby the A59 is excellent for us to commute.
“The open-plan layout of the home was something that we really liked when we came to Pendle Hill View, because I love to cook. Now I can spend time in the kitchen while still being in the same room as everyone else in the home.“We have more than enough space in the house for the two of us, so we plan to turn our fourth bedroom into a study, and the double parking and sizeable garage we have is brilliant.”
