Whitacre Gardens swap hard hats for bobble hats

Backing NSPCC’s first ever Bobble Hat Day which took place on Wednesday 10th December, our team wanted to get behind the festive fundraising initiative and encourage the people of Warwickshire to make a donation this Christmas.

The Charity asked people to simply wear their favourite bobble hat, snap a picture and post it on Facebook or Twitter and then text BOBBLE to 70744 to make a £2 donation. Making a £2 donation during the festive period to ChildLine helped provide support and advice to children and young people across the UK and Channel Islands.

For many the festive period is a happy and fun time, but unfortunately its not the same for everyone. Thanks to the donations made, the NSPCC were able to ensure that even the most vulnerable children had someone they could turn to and talk to someone during Christmas.

Jason Wolliscroft, Managing Director of Bloor Homes Midlands said: ‘The construction team on our Whitacre Gardens site in Warwickshire were delighted to swap their hats in aid of such a good cause. We deal with families at an exciting and happy time in their lives when they move into their new homes, but we understand that family life is not always like that'.

Christmas can be stressful for children for a number of reasons and it is fantastic to know that ChildLine are there to help and support children and young people, not just during the festive period, but 365 days a year too! Celebrities like Peter Andre and Dick and Dom were also part of Bobble Hat day, like our team at Whitacre Gardens and backed the NSPCC Bobble Hat Day initiative too!
