Specification and Customer care top of the list

Ongoing costs were the next most important consideration, with 32.9 per cent saying the cost of running the house was ‘very important’ and any additional costs were ‘very important’ to 34.9 per cent.

Anne Cadman, Regional Sales Director for Bloor Homes Midlands, said: “This research has proven invaluable because it has challenged some perceptions of what matters most to buyers.

“Location, schools and the size of the development were important to different people to varying degrees. The need for high specification and exemplary customer care were the common thread.

“At Bloor Homes we believe in quality and never cut corners. Materials, fittings and appliances are carefully selected to ensure we deliver a superior finish.

“We offer a 10-year NHBC or LABC warranty and our customer care team are there to help before and after completion.

“We were pleased that our research into customer priorities firmly endorsed this approach."

Bloor Homes is currently welcoming house-hunters to its St Oswalds Manor development, a collection of high-specification four and five-bedroom houses in the picturesque village of Ashbourne on the edge of the Peak District.
