New homes tick every box for buyers at Priory Manor

Research from the Home Builders Federation shows that running costs for a new home in the UK are roughly 50 per cent less than costs associated with running a Victorian house of the same size.

This could mean an annual saving of £440 for a one-bedroom ground floor apartment, or as much as £1,410 for a detached four-bedroom house.

Add to this the exacting build standards, central heating, double glazing and insulation and it’s clear that new homes can offer better quality all round. The cost of upgrading an old home to new-build specification has been estimated as nearly £45,000 by the HBF.

Anne Cadman, Regional Sales Director for Bloor Homes Midlands, said: “We know that buying a new home is a massive commitment, not just for the initial upfront cost but for the ongoing bills and maintenance costs as well.

“That’s why we use a combination of cutting-edge design technologies and modern materials to ensure our homes represent excellent value in the long term.

“Today’s purchasers are well educated. They have almost always spent hours researching their requirements before they come to us, so most already have a sound understanding of the benefits of buying new.

“The HBF commits a huge amount of resource to researching and promoting the benefits of buying new. Their efforts help us to substantiate just how new homes can deliver value.

“At Bloor Homes we are firmly focused on exceeding buyers’ expectations. We approach every home as if we were planning to live there ourselves. Everything we build or install is to a high specification. Our purchasers have a blank canvas to stamp their personality on rather than a to-do list for maintenance.

“You just don’t get that flexibility and quality with an older home, let alone the 10 year warranty.”
Bloor Homes is currently welcoming visitors to view new homes at its Priory Manor development in Wolston.

A range of four-bedroom properties are available for sale, priced between £389,950 and £425,000.
