Work colleagues reunited at Oak Tree Gardens

Alex Ferguson and Lorna McDowell have joined their friends, Darryl and Emma Johnson, at Bloor Homes’ Oak Tree Gardens development, in Leicestershire.

Darryl and Emma were the first to make the move to Oak Tree Gardens with their children, Mia,13, and Eva,9. 

 

The couple were so impressed with the build quality of their four-bedroom, Hollington house type, that they had no hesitations in recommending the development to their first-time buyer friends, Alex and Lorna.

 

Darryl, 37, said: “What attracted us initially to the development was the area because it’s close to the beautiful open countryside. We owned a property just down the road from our current home and we know the area well, so for us was important to stay local.

 

“The house itself is wonderful with a great layout and spacious open-plan kitchen/dining area, which is where we spend most of our time as a family. 

 

“Conveniently positioned just a mile away from Coalville, Oak Tree Gardens has a great location which is close to mine and Emma’s workplaces.

 

“I was aware that Alex and Lorna were looking to buy a house and they had been viewing lots of different developments. I recommended Oak Tree Gardens because of its perfect location, given that they both work at the same place as I do, and also the impressive quality build and finishing touches.”

 

Alex and Lorna purchased a three-bedroom detached house, having initially considering buying a pre-owned property.

 

Alex, 29, said: “Lorna and I have been house hunting for quite some time and we wanted to explore different options both pre-owned properties and new build. We viewed so many homes, but neither of them ticked our boxes until we came to see our current house, at Oak Tree Gardens. 

 

“After visiting the Bloor development, we knew straight away that it was our dream place and we completely agreed with everything Darryl said about the high quality of build, flexible living and convenient location. 

 

“Our favourite room is the lounge because it’s so light and airy, as well as a great social point.”

 

Darryl and Emma also received £500 from Bloor Homes under the housebuilder’s ‘Recommend a Friend’ scheme.

 

Darryl said: “The customer service from Bloor was fantastic from start to finish, everyone has been very helpful and ensured we were completely satisfied. We had no hesitations in recommending Oak Tree Gardens.”
