Why Buy at Bilbrook Mill

Billbrook Mill will soon be home to a superbly designed collection of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes in Bilbrook - a delightful and thriving village. Find an excellent range of shops for your day to day needs, a pub, medical centre and more within the village itself. And being adjacent to the very popular village of Codsall, you'll have easy access to an even greater selection of local amenities.

We always go that extra mile to ensure we build in locations close to good schools, amenities and transport links, and Bilbrook Mill is certainly no exception. Whether you need a loaf of bread or a fish & chip super, the local shops in Bilbrook certainly have a lot to offer. There's a variety of independent businesses, together with well-known brands such as Barclays Bank, Co-op Food and Costa Coffee. You can also walk to Bilbrook Medical Centre in about 12 minutes.

There's a fantastic choice of schools in the area, as well as plenty of places to run around and have fun in – like Joey's Lane playing fields, with its play park and skate park.  Living at Bilbrook Mill, you can experience all the benefits of a brand new Bloor home, plus those of being located in this South Staffordshire village just outside the city of Wolverhampton, which just 5 miles away.

While Bilbrook has all you need for modern life, it has a rich history too. Its name comes from 'billers', an old word for watercress, which grew in the Moat Brook.

The Area Bilbrook in Staffordshire

Bilbrook Mill is situated in the South Staffordshire village of Billbrook, located close to the West Midlands border, just 5 miles from the city of Wolverhampton. The village is an ideal location for all, including families, commuters, first time buyers, singles and couples.

An enjoyable village life for all

A short walk away from Bilbrook Mill is The Woodman Inn. Previously several small homes for farm labourers, the pub's history can be seen framed on the walls inside. Slightly further afield are several other pubs, including The Bull, The Bentlands and The Station (converted from the old Codsall railway train station building).

You'll discover lots of places to help you keep fit too. From Codsall Leisure Centre and YogaZone, to Pilates and the outdoor gym equipment at Joey's Lane playing fields. If golf is more your bag, you can take your pick of courses, including Wergs Golf Club, The South Staffordshire Golf Club, and Oxley Park Golf Course.

Fans of the silver screen and stage don't have to travel far either. Wolverhampton is home to a Cineworld, the Light House Cinema and the Grand Theatre. The city also has an art gallery and several other museums, which make it an attractive destination for those in search of culture and history.

Excellent transport links nearby

Whether it’s travelling for work or pleasure, Bilbrook is brilliantly connected, making it ideal for the daily commuter or weekend shopper.

Bilbrook train station is 0.8 miles from home. From here, you'll be able to reach Wolverhampton in only 8 minutes, and go all the way onto Birmingham New Street (30 minutes). In the opposite direction is Shrewsbury, which takes about 45 minutes by train.

Junction 2 of the M54 is only 3 miles away, giving you easy access to the motorway network. There are lots of other A roads nearby too, such as the A41, A449 and A5, making travel by car nice and simple. It's only 5 miles to Wolverhampton city centre too – about 15 minutes by car.

Looking to fly somewhere – for a holiday or business? Birmingham airport is 31 miles by road.

Good schools for all ages

Families moving to Bilbrook Mills will find they don't have to travel far to find good local schools.

The Ofsted-rated 'Good' Lane Green First School is less than a mile away, making it a 5-minute drive or about a 20-minute walk. Slightly further afield at 1.4 miles is the 'Outstanding' rated Birches First School.

For slightly older children, Bilbrook Middle School is just over half a mile away, meaning a gentle 10-minute stroll or a couple of minutes in the car. Then for 13 to 18 year-olds, Codsall Community High School (rated 'Good') can be reached in 20 minutes on foot (one mile).

For those looking to go to university, the University of Wolverhampton offers a wide range of courses. But if your older children want to move out, but not be too far from home, they could consider the University of Birmingham, the University of Derby, or the University of Leicester.

Travel a little further out

If you ever fancy taking a step back in time, a visit to the Black Country Museum is a must. This immersive, open-air museum, set across 26 acres, tells the story of one of the very first industrialised landscapes in Britain. But it's not the only place nearby steeped in history. A short trip up the M54 is the Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford. It explores the fascinating story of the RAF, what's more, there's free admission!

For those moments when you feel like escaping, Baggeridge Country Park and West Park (in Wolverhampton centre) are the perfect destinations. Grab a picnic, gather a few friends and simply kick-back. Although if you're in the mood for some excitement, take a trip to Wolverhampton Race Course. This all-weather track hosts multiple horse race meetings – good luck!

If the sun's shining, why not pack your swimming costumes and head to Tettenhall outdoor pool? This is an extremely popular summer destination for families with children of all ages. And if water is your thing, head to Pendeford Nature Reserve. This hidden gem is an astonishingly beautiful plot of English countryside – and it's only a mile from your new home.

While you could see some wildlife at Pendeford Nature Reserve, like birds and insects, for more exotic animals, plan a day out to Wild Zoological Park. From snakes to meerkats, there are all sorts of creatures to discover.
