Bloor Homes is building the first 92 homes at Northstowe, which will eventually encompass up to 10,000 new homes.
The initial seventeen plots have been reserved off plan at the development, which is located just six miles north of Cambridge.
The first residents are due to move into their new homes in April, while the Show Home at the development is expected to open later in the month.
The sales office has been inundated with enquiries from a range of buyers, including would-be homeowners keen to get on the property ladder within commuting distance of the city to downsizers from the surrounding villages.
Monika Hanlon, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes Eastern, said: “The interest in the early releases at Northstowe has been absolutely phenomenal and we are delighted that 17 homes have already been reserved off-plan.
“We are pleased to announce that the first homes are expected to be completed in April and we are very much looking forward to welcoming the first residents into their homes.
“With its close proximity to Cambridge and excellent transport links to the city, Northstowe has proved to be an extremely popular development with buyers looking for high quality and affordable homes in this highly sought after area.
“We are immensely proud to be delivering the first homes at what is the largest planned new settlement in England in 50 years, and we believe Northstowe will become a thriving and attractive neighbourhood in the years to come.
“I would strongly encourage any prospective purchasers interested in relocating to this new community to visit our sales office so they can find out more about the homes available and the vision for Northstowe as a whole.”
