Having spent most of his life in busy Liverpool, Chris Shotton is getting used to a different pace in the rural village of Sible Hedingham at Bloor Homes’ Earl’s Garden development.

The keen runner has been pounding the paths around the delightful countryside that surrounds the development.

And as a photographer working from home, he also loves its excellent potential for commuting.

“I liked the Bloor site at Sible Hedingham as soon as I visited,” said Chris. “Its quality was apparent from the show homes.

“I wasn’t necessarily looking for a new-build home when I began my search, but I kept coming across issues with older properties that put me off.

“I was visiting friends in Exeter and showed them the designs - I didn’t realise they lived in a Bloor home but they said how happy they were with their property. My solicitor as well had only good things to say about them.

“Sible Hedingham is just a lovely place to live in. You really are in the countryside but there is still good access to Cambridge, London and Colchester.

“I can be on the park and ride in to Cambridge in 40 minutes, and one of the big plus points is how easy it is to get to London.

“Nearby Castle Hedingham is also lovely and it’s just a short walk to The Bell pub which serves real ale and has been there since the 1440s.

“I’m a big runner, a member of Halstead Road Runners, and it’s a really good area to go running around. The countryside is beautiful.”

“Living in a top-floor apartment you would expect to hear your neighbours every so often, but I barely ever hear anything, and everyone else living here also says the same thing.

Chris had friends up and down the country who were able to provide him with an endorsement of Bloor Homes, and he’s only too happy to do the same himself now.

“The whole service from Bloor was very good,” he added. “The staff were great and the whole process was very straightforward, I didn’t encounter any problems.

“I was also very happy that there was a massive range of options when it came to my choices on things such as tiling and cupboards. It’s helped me make my apartment feel like home straight away.”
