Eleven of the fifteen private properties at Bloor Homes’ De Havilland Orchard development off Tunbridge Lane have been snapped up off plan, less than three months after being released for sale.

Located on former RAF land, and named after one of the aircraft which flew out of nearby RAF Bottisham during the Second World War, De Havilland Orchard will comprise a total of 24 homes, nine of which are being provided as affordable housing.

The first homes are due to be completed in April with construction work on the development expected to finish in the summer.

The final four homes are now available to buy at De Havilland Orchard. They include the three-bedroom Trelissick show home, priced at £409,995, the three-bedroom Yarkhill house type, priced at £404,995, and the four-bedroom Berrington home, priced at £534,995.

Monika Hanlon, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes Eastern, said: “There has been a tremendous response from buyers to our De Havilland Orchard development and the high levels of interest show no signs of abating.

“There is clearly a huge demand for quality new homes in the Cambridge area, and Bottisham, with its great range of amenities and excellent transport links, is particularly attractive to house hunters.

“It is therefore no surprise that De Havilland Orchard has proved to be extremely popular and with just four homes now remaining I would encourage anyone looking for a new home within easy reach of Cambridge to come and see for themselves what this superb development has to offer.”
